Published by JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization), this annual is a gold mine for companies searching for products from Japan. The emphasis in this book is on products for export and import plus related services. 1,518 pages, 215x280 mm size, hardcover, 2.9 kg.

Part 1 - Products & Services

Introduces about 17,000 products made by Japanese companies that wish to export, 5,300 products Japanese companies wish to import, and 1,900 services Japanese companies wish to provide/receive.

Part 2 - Companies & Associations

Lists service suppliers related to international business, covering about 2,700 companies such as manufacturers, traders, wholesalers, retailers, and more. This section also covers more than 110 industrial and trade associations, including information on activities and services.

Part 3 - Prefectures

Japan's Prefectures (equivalent to States in the USA) various Foreign Direct Investment Programs. These are introduced. A total of 35 prefectures and major cities are covered in detail, including photos and eight pages of information on each.

Part 4 - Advertising

More than 140 companies have advertised their products and services in the JTD. These advts provide additional useful information.

The heart and sole of this book is in Part 1 and Part 2. Don't expect this book to cover all Japanese companies (there are a million more or less). Don't expect it to cover the financial community, or foreign companies in Japan in depth. The overwhelming strength of this directory lies in foreign trade related companies, products and services. This book is backed by over four decades of work by JETRO in building Japan's export trade. Today great emphasis is also devoted to imports.

How to order JAPAN TRADE DIRECTORY 2001-2002

We can accept your order by airmail, fax or email. The standard way is to send us a US$check (that is payable at a bank that is physically in the USA). Make check payable to INTERCONTINENTAL MARKETING CORP. You can also pay by credit card but there will be an added 6.5% surcharge and there may be a delay while the charge is verified. Books are sent by registered postal seamail or airmail payment is received and cleared. Though prepayment is required, we can send an invoice if needed.
